What is the DirtBound game?

DirtBound is a free browser rally game with low-poly cars and scenery. Its original website is dirtbound.fr. The game’s own credits name Luke Baffait and Victor Boutros; a developer showcase on the Three.js forum links to that same site.

This reference covers the rally-car project. Dirtbound Rider, a motorcycle game on Spawn, is a separate title. Nisu does not host a playable copy of DirtBound.

Default keyboard controls

The table below follows the defaults published by DirtBound. The settings menu supports rebinding, so a saved setup can differ. Review your bindings before a run rather than assuming another player’s key layout matches yours.

Choose a short stage before comparing cars

For an initial run, a 1 km stage is a manageable choice from the published length menu. Learn your steering and handbrake bindings there before comparing different cars. This is a practice suggestion, not a tested racing line or a guaranteed way to improve a lap time.

Stage length and seasonal theme are separate options. If you want to compare settings, keep the selected mode and conditions consistent. This reference does not assign handling scores, recommend a fastest vehicle or claim a fixed number of available cars.

Platform and verification scope

The developer’s October 17, 2026 showcase describes a playable game that runs in a browser without a download. The original site and its public menu and settings were checked October 31. No particular release number was verified.

Nisu has not driven a stage, signed in, joined multiplayer or tested a phone. Keyboard defaults are published configuration, not a hands-on compatibility result. Touch controls, native app availability and minimum hardware requirements remain unverified here. The screenshot is from the developer’s showcase; it may differ from the current menu.
